Late night train

The film is currently in post-production and is taking longer to edit than expected... which is to be expected...

Late Night Train follows three young men  in New York City after a night of celebration.  They encounter a desperate homeless man inquiring for help.  Emotions elevate quickly and some choices are made that unfortunately can not be unmade.

80s pop/rock and the american songbook  3/12/2013

Preparing for this week's auditions is continuing to be a blast.  80s Pop/Rock and Frank Sinatra classics are my favorite things to sing, besides a good old fashion musical theatre song.  I've been invited to audition for two shows this week that are headed to Off-Broadway.  I won't say any names because I don't want to jinks it, but I'm super-excited.  Check back soon so you can stay up to date!

Billy Long-legs  2/24/2013

This weekend I worked with New York Princess Party playing Billy Long-legs, the pirate.  Yep, I was a pirate, along with a very pretty princess, making dreams come true for a sweet girl turning five.  Billy Long-legs sailed into Manhattan on his ship, the Blue Seagull, with sails of ocean blue and a ship painted crystal white and yes, I made up that entire back story, whatever, I was a hit.  The girls especially loved me sending them to find treasure, but they had to give it to me... then they stole it.  That was their favorite part... stealing the "pretend" treasure they gave me.  I can't believe I didn't get some pictures.

audition season   1/31/2013

Keep an eye for me in the audition room.  We're in the thick of "Audition Season" and you will find me at most of them.  I'll come in with a big smile, positive attitude, and some singin' and actin' that will hopefully entertain you and break up the monotony of an excruciatingly long day.  See you there!

I just got these pictures from a past show, The Andrews Brothers, at the Highland Playhouse in North Carolina.  Performed the show during the summer of 2010.  Take a look around!

Details for the understanding    7/6/2012

Okay!  We are scheduled to perform on July 15 at 3pm!  I hope you can come out see it.  We've been putting a lot of work into this and it's going to be something I think everyone will enjoy.  Two guys duking it out and resolving life's problems.  It's a lot of fun.  Check out the Facebook link for more info.

the understanding   6/30/2012

Up next is The Understanding by Max Brand.  We will be performing it for one night only in July...date TBA...as a pre-show for the opening of a world premier from Squeaky Bicycle Productions at The Drilling Company Theatre called Pop Dies in Vegas.  I hear it's a blast of a time.
Our play, The Understanding, is a short ten minute play revolving around two guys.  My character, Jeff, is trying to help Ryan get over his ex-girlfriend...in the way that bros help bros out......

Here's the cool part about this play festival.  There are several plays picked to open before the main show through the first two weeks of the run.  After that they pick a winner and that play gets to open for the show for the last week of the run.  Fingers crossed it's us.

Check back soon when I have more details I can share!!!

filming the gate of sacaron   6/16/2012

The gate of sacaron   2/10/2012

I'll be heading back to Atlanta in April for a project short.  The Gate of Sacaron is a thesis piece that is inspired from the Norse culture.  It definitely has a bit of  The Lord of the Rings vibe to it.  I'm playing the protagonist, Alannius, who has come to the gate for one reason.  The rest...I'll keep you updated, but I am very excited about this project.  I've already seen the set model, costumes, script, pictures...I mean basically, everything!  I'll keep you posted as the project shoot date draws closer.

Working gigs to help pay rent   1/29/2012

Starting over.  I spent three years in Atlanta being a full time actor and in that three year time I was able to make a good portion of money from general performing gigs.  I've started over in NYC and because of that, I am back to the drawing boards in finding performing gig work.

Fortunately, I have already had success in that respect!  I've been working with two different entertainment companies and while neither one offers me anything that is artistically satisfying, they do afford me with opportunities to get in front of people and just plain-old entertain.  This always turns out to be a lot more fun for me than I originally anticipate because I have a good time acting like a goof ball and everyone else has a good time watching me do it.  Fun!  Sometimes that's all that matters.

Still continuing to audition and always looking for opportunities to be a part of a great storytelling experience.

booked my first gig in nyc   9/20/2011

I attended my first audition in New York for a singer showcase called Bound for Broadway.  As I was sitting in the holding area waiting for my turn, my hands got clammy and my nervousness was starting to get the better of me.  This is always the inevitable part of my audition process.  I start sweating and then I’m freezing and then I start to shake (no one else seems to notice though or if they do they don’t mention it).  Finally it was my turn and as I crossed the threshold I felt my worries melt way and my confidence came rushing back.  I walked in and “did my thing” and walked out with the job.  My nerves are always so hard to handle in the time leading up to the audition but I think I’m lucky in the fact that they seem to disappear in the moment it counts.  Thank goodness or I wouldn't be able to pursue this career!

Bound for Broadway is coming up next month.  Keep checking back as I will release more details as it gets closer!

new york city resident   8/1/2011

I have moved my “Base of Operations” to New York City.  Where I found a great deal of success in Atlanta I am hoping to find even more opportunities in NYC.  This city is known for having open doors to those who hustle and with a little of my Irish luck, I’m hoping the stars can align in my favor.

Want?… Auditions, and lots of them.  I’m hoping to get out there as often as I can and whenever I can.
Need?… Enrollment in a solid acting class with peers who can help me hone my craft.  An excellent Voice Teacher.  An AGENT.
Have?… A lot of raw talent and a drive to become something great.
Why?… Because we are given a gift to better the world and the gift God gave me was meant to be used through the arts.

This city nurtures the arts like no other and in this city is where some of the greatest art happens.  It would be foolish to ignore what this city has to offer and as an artist I have to dive in… head first.
